The countdown is on! The last quarter of 2023 is in full swing – and Porsche eBike Performance is still fully focused on innovation. We want our first in-house developed Porsche drive system to make a splash: in performance, design and beyond. We want to make the whole customer journey one continuous brand experience. How are we going to achieve this? ➡️ We have designed all of our development processes from the ground up to be dynamic and interdisciplinary. This ensures that key interfaces are in place from the get-go and do not need to be retrofitted later. This setup has enabled us to keep to our timeline with a projected market entry by mid-decade. ➡️ There is no single trajectory towards our goal. To reach the summit, strategic thinking and extremely creative situation handling are of the essence. In the realm of development, we can influence many, but not all parameters. That’s were our solution-oriented corporate structure comes in. ➡️ Customer focus is key – only by knowing our future target audience can we develop products that hit home. To this end, data collected through market research is just as important as one-to-one conversations and benchmarks. There are crucial insights to be had when talking to people at events, testivals or at the point of sale. ➡️ No half-measures – the world of mobility is changing at a rapid pace. One thing that is not changing is our commitment to developing outstanding products. That is what the Porsche brand has stood for for decades. I firmly believe that to create an outstanding customer experience, products and services need to go hand in hand. Time Flies It’s been 365 days since Porsche eBike Performance was founded. And what a year it has been! We have: ➡️ acquired two companies and successfully integrated them into our corporate structure; 📈 ➡️ hired more than 100 people and introduced agile project management processes; 🚀 ➡️ thoroughly analyzed and realigned various business areas; ➡️ laid the groundwork for an expansion of our manufacturing capacities;  ➡️ made key conceptual decisions for the first Porsche e-bike drive system. These past months have been transformative for me personally as well, as my day-to-day work is now shaped by the #energy and the #challenges that arise where #international corporate structures and start-up spirit meet. Finding the happy medium is crucial – so these are my key takeaways from my first year with Porsche eBike Performance: ➡️ #Teamwork makes the dream work: without our motivated and dedicated staff, we would not have had the success that we did. That’s why we will place a strong focus on further professional development! 🚀 ➡️ A shared #vision as the foundation for a healthy corporate #culture is not a given – it needs to be created from the ground up, nurtured and honed. 💯 ➡️ A strongly growing organization needs carefully structured processes. Eurobike 2023 is in the books! An overwhelmingly successful show with many engaging conversations is coming to a close for us and our brand. What's my personal takeaway from this year’s EUROBIKE Show? 1️⃣ Face to face 👥 The one-on-one meetings with our OEMs, suppliers and customers were immensely energizing. Networking not only creates room for having personal conversations and sharing new ideas, but also gives us opportunities for changing our perspectives. And this change of perspective is what it takes to develop innovative mobility solutions. 2️⃣ Innovation as a business success factor 📈 I was impressed to see the ubiquity of innovation at the show. Whether at the booths or on the test track, I saw many exciting approaches, and that gives me an incredibly positive outlook on the role of the e-bike in our society’s journey towards future mobility. 3️⃣ Sustainability is key 🌱 For me personally the central theme of the show. For us, too, sustainability is one of the key drivers across all brands, which is why we have written sustainability into the Porsche AG strategy 2030. Double-digit growth in sales   When it comes to e-bikes, North America is undoubtedly a dynamic growth market. Over the next five years, this segment is expected to show a compound annual growth rate of 12.51% (source: https://lnkd.in/eBD9dKPg). Reasons for this growth are varied and certainly similar to those at play in the European market. People looking for alternative modes of transport, sustainability, increasing urbanization, and personal health factors are all drivers for this trend. At the same time, technical advances are making e-bikes a more and more viable option for consumers.   All the more reasons to head to the Life Time Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California, the largest cycling tradeshow in the US and a central hub for industry insights. Digital touchpoints have become an indispensable ingredient for keeping in touch with your community. In the B2B sphere especially, a comprehensive information and communication culture is crucial because well-trained retailers are better equipped to advise customers in their purchasing decisions and assist them when there is a problem. Excellent customer service at the point of sale not only influences purchasing decisions; it creates trust. But there was another crucial factor that drove our development of the new FAZUA Dealer Portal: innovating knowledge transfer by combining e-learning with gamification. On our intuitive platform, retailers can easily navigate through video-based training modules, which are successively unlocked. Their knowledge of product- and service-related topics is tested through a variety of question types. Users can collect points, track their progress and compare their scores to those of their colleagues on the company’s internal leader board. After successfully completing the required basic and advanced trainings, retailers receive the “FAZUA Certified Partner” certification.
