We, or more precisely Malte Jarlgaard Hansen, Foojan Mehrdana, Esben Halkjær Hansen, Giovanni Salerno and Jørgen Hansen, wrote an article for World Aquaculture Society on the science underlying our lead product: Biokos. Biokos is a new natural agent which is a very effective treatment against the ich parasite - a significant problem for aquaculture as well as in ornamental freshwater fish. The article explains how we showed that Biokos: - is effective at removing the parasite from water; - is non-toxic to fish; and - breaks down quickly to create no lasting ecological damage.
