Friends, we are DEEP into due diligence with our #startups, and we'll be narrowing it down to the Top 5 Finalists in each region soon! You may be asking - what IS due diligence? Well, it's a rigorous process that basically determines whether or not we will invest in your company. It involves data rooms, lots of chats with the #founders and team, and more. One of our amazing investors who is doing this due diligence right now is Trudy Martens, CPA,CA! Trudy spent 30 years working with great colleagues and great clients at Deloitte and is now working on her own. Trudy is super excited to become part of the local startup community. I asked her why she was choosing to be an #angelinvestor, and she said: "I find it energizing to be around #entrepreneurs and am constantly amazed by their ideas, talent and passion. I don’t expect I’ll ever be a founder of a startup, but being an angel investor is one way that I can be part of and support this community.
