The three pillars of our partnership with Microsoft have always been to focus on the business (our customers & partners), engineering and joint philanthropic efforts. Building Commvault and Metallic on Microsoft is one of the key ingredients that makes our technology consistently rated the best from various independent analyst firms. One thing that sometimes gets taken for granted, though, are our joint selling efforts that enable our customers to leverage the best data management software/services hosted on a secure and scalable Microsoft platform. Yes, Commvault and Microsoft field sellers working together often in concert with our partners to deliver Commvault and Metallic. I will always recall, back in September of 2015, Microsoft’s Tim May (I’m a history fan and always try to recall the linchpin event) telling us about the new “P-Seller” program, which has today matured into Microsoft’s “Co-Sell” system. Tim invited us to be among the first three partners to “beta” (old-fashioned term) or “preview” (today’s term) the system. This was a natural extension for Commvault as we had been “Co-Selling” with Microsoft since 2000 – now we were simply providing a faster path to enable joint selling. Commvault was recently notified by Tyler Bryson that we were just named the 2021 MSUS Partner Award Winner for driving Co-Sell wins. Simply put – we couldn’t have done it without Microsoft as our two+ decade partnership continues to flourish and grow. We couldn’t receive this recognition without the help of several key Microsoft “partner” people such as Jennifer McCrum, Shash Mody, Anne George, Saurabh Sensharma and David Totten just to name a few, with a special shout-out to a few of our Microsoft EDU friends such as Cynthia Hanna, Denny Ramsey, Erica Capozzi, Angelina Lee Joiner and Sam Truswell Now about those O365 Front Line Workers, Dynamics 365 environments and the upcoming HHK events 😊.
