As a full signatory to The Energy Charter, Essential Energy is proud to be working with other like-minded energy organisations to create a better energy future for all Australians. Through collaboration and innovation, we are continuously striving for better outcomes for all our customers. Many people in our communities are facing increasing energy prices and other cost-of-living pressures. With ongoing energy concessions currently available nationally, to help reduce the burden of electricity and gas bills, we are still seeing around 40% of eligible people not taking them up. We encourage all our customers to contact their energy retailer today to check their eligibility for a concession. #keepthemoneyitsyours #energyconcessions #energy #costofliving #energybillsavings

We’re proud to announce that Essential Energy’s CEO, John Cleland, has recently joined the Champions of Change Coalition's new Energy Sector Group. John said "the energy transition represents an enormous challenge, requiring significant diversity of thinking and experience. Increasing female participation in the sector from the current 24% is imperative. I am personally committed to this initiative and believe the energy sector workforce should represent the customers and communities we serve. I will be working to ensure women are equally represented, engaged in, and benefiting from the work we do." #GenderEquality #Leadership #JoinTheChange
The Champions of Change Coalition’s new Energy Sector Group involves 17 CEOs working together to advance gender equality and greater representation of women within the energy sector. The energy transition represents an enormous challenge, requiring significant diversity of thinking and experience. Increasing female participation in the sector from the current 24% is imperative. I am personally committed to this initiative and believe the energy sector workforce should represent the customers and communities we serve. I will be working to ensure women are equally represented, engaged in, and benefiting from the work we do. I look forward to listening and learning from our own employees, others across the industry, and sharing progress at Essential Energy with my peers and the Group’s Co-Convenors, Elizabeth Broderick and James Fazzino. https://lnkd.in/guW5Rrk3 #GenderEquality #WomeninLeadership #JoinTheChange

Essential Energy proudly supports National NAIDOC Week 2023 and this year’s theme - For Our Elders. NAIDOC Week presents a valuable opportunity for our company to embrace Indigenous culture. We know elders hold a special place in Indigenous cultures, safeguarding traditions, languages, and cultural practices. Essential Energy is proud to announce our membership with the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN). The ABCN’s vision is to provide all young Australians the opportunity to reach their potential in the future world of work, regardless of socio-economic background. We’ll be working directly with ABCN and their regional school partners across NSW as part of the Regional, Rural and Remote Program, to empower young people - with our employees delivering the programs both face-to-face and virtually. This is just one example of what we’re doing to support our customers and communities across our footprint. #ABNC #communiities #regionalNSW https://abcn.com.au

Essential Energy proudly supports 2023 National Reconciliation Week and encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation. This year’s theme - Be a Voice for Generations is about speaking out and taking action to support reconciliation. As an organisation, we’re challenging ourselves to learn something new about our Indigenous history, culture and experiences. We believe in valuing each other, learning about and celebrating all that makes each of us unique. The video below highlights a recent cultural learning session that some of our employees attended on Bundjalung Country. The more we learn, the more we can support reconciliation. Let's take on the challenge together! #NRW2023 #ReconciliationWeek #BeAVoiceForGenerations #ChallengeYourselfToLearnSomethingNew

2yI love this type of art work. We were very privileged to receive a piece from a group in NT when we sold them some equipment. It sits in our training room.
