As we celebrate Women’s History Month, we’re highlighting some of the women who make Twitch amazing. Meet Gina Greenwalt! Hi! My name is Gina. I believe pineapple and pizza belong together. Don’t @me. Two years ago I started building Twitch’s early career talent program. Our small but mighty team took the program from 0 to 1 and introduced Twitch to some of the best interns in the world! Now I’m on the People Development & Experience team as a People & Talent Program Manager focused on internal inclusion and equity. I work to understand the lived experiences of my colleagues, and to holistically support our employee community. I challenge us to think critically and inclusively about how we manage and develop people. When job searching in 2019, I told a friend about an interesting role at a place called “Twitch”: had he heard of it? He declared that Twitch was a community like no other, and that “it’s always been about people, not just games.” Turns out, he would watch streamers on Twitch with his father to keep in touch! Back then, gaming was still a bit intimidating to me, but Community and Connection were concepts that resonated. I clicked apply that night.
