HAPPY 2023 - We're back and kicking off the year with great news! 💡 What started as pretty much as a “US story” (children left behind in school vehicles seemed like a US-only pain topic), develops globally. More countries become aware that technology is available to prevent tragedies - and that they can and should make use of it. Japan is one of them. LiDAS is getting a lot of interest in this country. 🎯 At the end of January, our system will be accompanying kindergarten and school children on their daily journeys, as part of dedicated vehicles of KOGENSHA, a local school bus dealer. IEE and Sanyo have co-developed the LiDAS system for the Japanese market. 🍀 We are confident that LiDAS continues to make its way there and will be used extensively to help protect lives. #technology #radar #sensing #LiDAS #schoolbus #childsafety

Our long-time partners from SnT, Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust paid a visit to our Echternach manufacturing site. We showed them our achievements, among which the production line for VitaSense - world’s first radar sensor for unattended child presence detection in vehicles. Together, we work on various research projects (radar and AI) for future applications. These require a good mix of expertise, enthusiasm, and competencies. We are very lucky to have strong teams by our side to fulfil these projects. Thank you for your visit and your valuable cooperation.

Some cheerful colors on a rainy day 🎨. Last week, we had the pleasure to host an art expo & sales event in our HQ. The “Collective of artists from Strasbourg” came to Bissen to exhibit paintings in various formats and on different art topics: contemporary, abstract, figurative, pop & street art. 🖼 A real treat for the eye. We look forward to having them over next year!

News from our reps, who are speaking about our child presence detection for school vehicles – LiDAS - in Japan. Since September, local media and the government have grown increasingly concerned with the vehicular heatstroke issue following the tragic death of a 3-year old, mistakenly forgotten in a nursery van. Fitting school/nursery vans/buses with technology that helps prevents such tragedies has since become a matter of national interest. Developing sensors that detect motion inside a vehicle is what we have been doing for years. We do this because we know it can help save lives. Hopefully, with the support of our partners, of our employees everywhere in the world, of discussions on new regulations and incentives for vehicle manufacturers, we can lead the way and we can all do better. 🎯Let it be said: The world’s first radar sensor for Unattended Child Presence Detection in cars – VitaSense - arrived on the market in 2020 and was developed & delivered by us! ✌️ This was a major milestone in the automotive passenger safety, and we are proud to be wearing this title. We hope that more and more auto makers will adopt systems like VitaSense in the future to help save lives. 💡 Check our guest column on the topic in the Automotive News magazine: 👉 https://bit.ly/3TbpXeD #worldleader #automotive #sensor #sensingsolutions #radar #vitasense #carsafety
