Our programmes - Republic of Côte d'Ivoire In the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, COLEACP supports the private and public sectors through its "Fit for Market" and "Fit for Market SPS" programmes, mainly in the mango and pineapple sectors. As part of the FFM #SPS project and following the entry into force of the new European plant health regulations in December 2019, COLEACP has helped Côte d'Ivoire to respond effectively to these new requirements by developing a mango dossier detailing integrated fruit fly management measures. Several support actions are thus organised on this theme for the public sector: strengthening the national SPS system, operationalisation of the mango dossier, etc. During the #mango 2020 campaign, Côte d'Ivoire exported 26,000 tonnes of mangoes to Europe and had only 4 fruit fly-related notifications (compared to 15 last year) when entering the EU market. Our support to the competent authorities will continue to maintain this situation and support them in the face of new challenges they may face in the future. #FFM #SPS #COLEACPinRCI #COLEACP2020 #mango #pineapple

FPEAK was part of the working groups which developed the Good Practice Guides for Avocado and Beans and Peas in Pods. The two GPGs which were launched on 3rd May 2023 at Mercure Hotel, Nairobi, are supposed to help Kenya to maintain their market share of the two value chains in the EU and UK. Exporters are expected to use the two documents to ensure that they are using good practices on both National and International Market Requirements.
