Several studies show that female leaders have done better in managing Covid-19 crisis. I find that really interesting because often women leaders are encouraged to become 'men-like' and act in a 'masculine' way to be taken seriously. To show - not to mention to celebrate! - their #feminine leadership qualities is a big no-no both in politics and in business. And yet, it is becoming more and more clear that during crisis (be it health, economic, climate, environmental or social crisis) women leadership qualities are helping us, if not solve the #crisis, at least to cope better. Based on research, the three main winning female leadership qualities during C-19 are: 1. When it comes to human lives, female leaders are risk-averse. They locked their countries quicker than male-led countries. 2. Female leadership style is more democratic and participatory. They create trust easier that way, I'd say, and bring in expertise quicker. 3. Women leaders have better communications skills which clearly works well in crisis management. Is it then time to have the audacity - regardless of gender - to embrace more feminine leadership style to future-proof our societies, countries, economies and businesses? #womenleaders #leadership #future #genderequality #gender #futureleadership
