This month I started experimenting with diversifying my freelancing income. Two strategies look promising. 1. Live coding workshops I've hosted a handful of these focused on my expertise, software testing. They've ranged from unit testing in Swift, to Xcode UI Testing, to TDD in RSpec. 2. Mentoring Through Codementor I've found two potential longterm mentees. They are both junior developers looking to level up their web development skills and take their first steps in automated testing. Both approaches have already been extremely rewarding and fun. I almost forgot how exciting it is to code with people in real time! I'm looking forward to seeing which of these proves more successful in the future. Fellow freelancers, how have you been diversifying your income? #freelance #testing
awesome!
I really love the concept of mentor matching like #2. Will have to see if there are other equivalents beyond development.
