Call for abstracts! UNEP DTU Partnership experts Karen Olsen and Gerardo Sanchez Martinez are guest editors on a special issue of Sustainability: “Transparency of Climate Policies for Sustainability Transition” The #ParisAgreement Article 13 established an #EnhancedTransparencyFramework (ETF) for tracking progress of #ClimateAction and support. For countries to commit to ambitious NDC targets, national transparency frameworks are needed to support evidence-based policy making and implementation and to build trust that all Parties contribute their fair share to a global and just sustainability transition. This Special Issue aims at taking stock of current knowledge and research on the role of #transparency of climate policies to promote sustainability transition. If you would like to contribute with a paper to the Special Issue, please send an abstract (max. 250 words) to kaol@dtu.dk and gsama@dtu.dk by 31 January. Full papers for selected abstracts are due by 30 September 2020.

How can we apply and use of #CarbonFootprint calculations to inform decisions on #EnergyEfficiency? In our newest episode of the Scaling Up #Energy Efficiency podcast, we talk about #GHG accounting and #lifecycle analysis becoming increasingly popular among financial organizations in making informed decisions on the sustainability and #climate impact of #investment portfolios. - And we look at the gaps aggravating this that are particularly pertinent in #DevelopingCountries, and the solutions out there. Article 6 road show takes off in Zambia🗺 First steps in shaping a community for knowledge generation, sharing, and implementation, creating stronger links between research, governments and #climateaction. #Carbonmarkets under #Article6 of the #ParisAgreement can help improve the cost-effectiveness of #emissionsreduction and achieve countries’ #climategoals and commitments. But how can the #academia help build the needed capacity for applied research to ensure the best outcomes? In December, UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre started the Article 6 “Road Show”, visiting countries in the Supporting Preparedness for Article 6 Cooperation (#SPAR6C) project, to assist them in doing just that. Global Green Growth Institute, GFA Consulting Group GmbH, Carbon Limits AS, Kommunalkredit Austria AG, Jay Sterling Gregg, Copperbelt University, Justine Ngoma, Paul Mumba
