Voice as an interface is nothing new. We've been communicating with other humans for centuries. That's why getting it just right for voice user interfaces (VUI) is so complicated. Helping the machine to understand all the subtleties of human language is a big part of our role as UX Writers. We still have to provide feedback, onboard users and give it a tone of voice. All of that, with no visual representations (some cases).
