Face recognition detects the emotional microexpressions on the face of speakers.
Microexpressions are the innate result of a voluntary and an involuntary emotional response occurring simultaneously and conflicting with one another.
This occurs when the brain (amygdala) responds appropriately to a specific situation, about what a person experienced - and the individual wishes to conceal this specific emotion.
Combining #psychology and #technology might be a powerful tool for security-related issues in the future. But as well a tool that needs solid ethics in the context of its usage.
