John was forced to flee his village due to ethnic conflicts and sought refuge in the town of Nyunzu, in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo.   After settling in, he has become part of a community committee that helps other displaced people receive assistance. In March, he took photos showing his work and some of the improvements brought by projects implemented by ACTED and European Commission - ECHO in his new home town, Nyunzu. During 2022, more than 100 million people were forcibly displaced around the world, nearly one in 78 people. Through a three-year project funded by European Commission - ECHO, Acted provided flexible and long-term support to over 1 million displaced people across nine countries.This partnership worked closely with communities to ensure their voices shaped the assistance they received. #WCID World Creativity and Innovation Day Creativity and Innovation are limitless and can be expressed in many ways.   Acted encourages creativity and innovation in every field. In the Philippines, together with the French Embassy in the Philippines, Acted organised the Womenpreneur Market, an agricultural and handcraft trade fair featuring businesses primarily implemented by Bangsamoro women. Through different projects, Acted trained 20 women-led cooperatives to help them master different expertise, from handcrafting bags to marketing and communications. 🎥 Thank you DLC Productions for video showcasing this beautiful event

L'objectif d'atteindre un monde Zéro Exclusion, Zéro Carbone, Zéro Pauvreté passe aussi par l’éducation à l'environnement. 🤝 Raison pour laquelle Acted s’est engagée avec @Ma Petite Planète et ses défis environnementaux pour atteindre l’objectif #3ZERO.   🌳 L’édition scolaire du challenge Ma petite Planète s’est achevée lundi dernier, battant le nombre record de 53 000 participants, élèves et encadrants. Ces derniers ont réalisé au total près de 700 000 défis pour éveiller nos consciences et contribuer à la préservation de la Nature et du Vivant.   Bravo à toutes les équipes et aux participants et longue vie à cette belle initiative !

On 23rd March, in the Philippines, ACTED and its partners, l'Ambassade de France aux Philippines, SM Supermalls, The Podium Mall, Philippine Airlines and Airspeed, launched the Womenpreneur Market, a three-day agricultural pop-up market. This market aimed to showcase and honor women's agricultural cooperatives from the region of Bangsamoro.    These cooperatives were supported by ACTED through a project funded by Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères. The project provided women enrolled with technical training on sustainable agricultural practices, branding, marketing, and financial management. It aimed at supporting livelihoods and empowering vulnerable families of the Bangsamoro region thanks to the responsible and sustainable production, while increasing food security and gender equality.     The Womenpreneur Market, inaugurated by Michèle Boccoz, the French Ambassador in the Philippines, was an opportunity for the women of the cooperatives to showcase the product of their hard work. 

The European Humanitarian Forum is on its way! #EHF2023 is organised by European Commission - ECHO and Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. During 3 days, NGOs will be coming together and bringing their perspectives on humanitarian crisis and situations around the world, with high-profile speakers and participants.
