The good, the bad and saving civilisation via crowd funding First the good news. 2degrees have developed a simple to use software tool called the M2030 bee that can help manufacturers halve their resource use by 2030. And you can help us get it to 100,000s of factories, make some money and help save civilisation. (Listen to sustainable manufacturing guru, Professor Steve Evans, (Cambridge) explain why the M2030 bee is a potential “game changer” https://lnkd.in/e78ZM6x) Now the bad news. We have just 12 years left to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. We need to act really fast to cut CO2e, including from manufacturing, which is responsible for 36% of global emissions. It can be done, if we act together, now. We're starting a ‘Revolution in Resource Efficiency’, and you can help by making a small investment and a big difference by lending us your expertise, passion and connections. Together we'll make sure that no factory is unaware of how the M2030 bee can help them. If we succeed, you’ll get a tidy return and leave behind a world worth living in. Excellent initiative. A potential game-changer.
I caught up with Ollie a few weeks back who gave me the lowdown on the latest...sounds great. Good luck with it all, Martin!!
The latest IPCC report says we have 12 years left in which to stop catastrophic climate change, and factories are responsible for 1/3rd of the global GHG emissions... Now more than ever, we need to cut those emissions fast. If you've not seen our story Jim McClelland Jon Dee Geoff Curran Matt Mace Olwen Smith do take a look, we'd love to know what you think! Perhaps there's a way we could tackle this global challenge together?
