🙄 Aren’t we past the “individual responsibility” narrative when it comes to food choices? According to the draft programme (https://bit.ly/4pRv9FX), the EU Agriculture and Food #AgriFoodDays (15–17 December) will include a session on “consumers’ role in driving sustainable farming practices.” #FoodEnvironments, anyone? Diets aren’t shaped only by personal preferences — but by powerful actors and policies that determine what food is available, how it’s priced, and how it’s promoted and labelled. Maybe it’s time to reframe the debate: what about the role of food companies, retailers, and fast-food chains in making the 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 choice the 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺 and 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 one for consumers?
