๐๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ญ.๐ฎ๐ด ๐ถ๐ ๐ผ๐๐! ๐ It's codenamed Planternetes โ , and it has a cool logo. It also has some noteworthy #observability goodies: ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ One of the most exciting things in this release, is native sidecar container support. We've been using the sidecar pattern in #Kubernetes for so long, but now it's really becoming a first level citizen, with proper management of startup, teardown, restart etc. This functionality is implemented as an init container with a restartPolicy, and is released in Alpha. Among its many use cases, it can enable more robust implementation of log collection sidecar containers, a common pattern for logging K8s workloads. https://lnkd.in/deR3CvnC ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐ค๐ฎ๐๐-๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐ก๐ข is added a --๐๐๐๐๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐๐ flag to support structured logging. https://lnkd.in/dmsQfwfF This release carries on the journey for structured logging started back in Kubernetes 1.19.
