I just finished reading Bill Gates’ book – How to avoid a climate disaster. After spending a decade studying the causes and effects of #climatechange, he explains why we need to reach #netzero as soon as possible to avoid a climate catastrophe and what will be key to get there.
It is clear to me that businesses, consumers, and governments, all have a significant role to play in fighting climate change and in removing 51 bn tons of CO2 emitted by human activity every year into the atmosphere. This might indeed be one of the most pressing challenges in human history - but this can change!
Bill Gates states: “I am an optimist because I know what technology can accomplish and because I know what people can accomplish.”
I fundamentally agree with these words and I strongly believe myself in the power of people to come up with the right solutions.
