3 things NOT to do in enterprise sales: 1. Playing the numbers game. Let me be perfectly clear, enterprise sales is not about throwing enough sh%t at the wall hoping something will stick. It's about doing the right work, with the right people, consistently. To build a powerhouse pipeline for the long haul. 2. Replacing the right, 'meaty' work with the right people with automation. Putting people into automation 'Hell' through a 37 point cadence is a surefire way to be shown the side door in the enterprise world. Remember, what you put into something is what you'll get back from it... always. And not just for enterprise either. Do your homework + make each touchpoint count with thoughtfulness! 3. Self-promotion/pitching. Enterprise buyers ultimately want to be helped or to get better, not to be sold to. Most aren't even looking for a 'solution', so dig into how you can help them achieve their goals or tackle their pain points. So that whole deposits before withdrawals analogy that many of us are talking about rings true. #sales #business #startups
