𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 is a $300 billion industry that continues to grow every single year. Companies are turning to #automation to help with not only material handling, but also to improve productivity right on the floor. This video showcases how a #manufacturing company could leverage automation using an LCMR from YRG, Inc. to support vision inspection, leak and hi-pot testing, product separation, and more instead of a traditional dial table to reduce floor space and drive productivity. By creating a more flexible solution, companies can run multiple dies and products on a single machine while reducing changeover and downtime. Huge shoutout to Visual Components for putting together this video, along with Chris Elston, who wrote an 18-page white paper covering these applications in more detail! You can download the whitepaper at the link below and follow YRG, Inc. on LinkedIn. #TheManufacturingMillennial #YRGPartner #Automation #Manufacturing #Robotics #Robots

We’re proud to celebrate another incredible season with Team 1501, one of the longest-running student robotics teams—and one we’ve had the privilege of sponsoring for over 30 years! This year, students honored Deb Neff and Phil Friend with a meaningful gift—including three gold medals—marking their first-ever sweep of 3 consecutive event wins. A true milestone! 🏆 3rd place at State 🌍 8th place at Worlds (Houston, out of 75 teams) PHD is also proud to host 3 interns from robotics programs, including 2 from Team 1501. These students are gaining real-world experience in engineering and automation. Some key takeaways from this season: • 15 of 29 students are home-schooled • The team used all-electric actuators and motors (2nd year), saving ~10 lbs and boosting design flexibility • Students are learning skills in Java, AI, vision systems, closed-loop controls, and more—preparing them for future careers in STEM We're excited to support such driven, innovative young minds. Thank you, Team 1501, for continuing to inspire us. 👏 #STEMeducation #FIRSTRobotics #FutureEngineers #Team1501 #Automation #EngineeringExcellence #PHDsponsored

If you mold parts, you know floor space is a PREMIUM. Now you are challenged with POST MOLD automation? Where are you going to put the automation for that? Maybe a vertical Yamaha LCMR can help you? Linear Servo Conveyors can sometimes be compared to as "Apples or Oranges", One of the nice things you can do with Yamaha LCMR200 is design a "Semi-Automatic" machine with operator load through a light curtain. Most of the times when assembly machines are designed, you still have a need for operator assistance. Being able to load on an LCMR200 through a spur that is not part of the main flow of the servo conveyor can offer some advantages in machine design. The LCMR200 offers DUAL POWER for just the module itself, this allows you to isolate the power, which is 48 VDC (low voltage) through and additional safety circuit if you desire as MP = motor power and CP = controller power are separate. 300,000 miles in the white van! Awesome to reflect on the amount of miles we have driven to talk to our customers about solving automation problems with robotics. 🎯 Comment if you have seen one of our demo gurneys! A wise YRG Yamaha "retired" salesman told me once, that customers do not want to go to the fish market to see dead fish, aka your static product or just a catalog. Customers want to see "floppy" fish or the aquarium. Bring them the aquarium to see. 15 years ago, I decided to help Yamaha and YRG with PLC integration. The only way I wanted to share our technology was an actual working DEMO to show a Controls Engineer how it works. The first DEMO we made was an AOI (add-on instruction) gurney that demonstrated how Allen Bradley communicates and controls Yamaha robots all in ladder logic without having to write any Yamaha code in the native controller. To this DAY, it's still the MOST POPULAR requested gurney to see by our customers. Over the years we have made many types of gurneys for different problems that customers have in their industry. I think we have built a fleet of over a dozen since we started. Some of them showcase partnerships with great companies to show you the total solution. Before covid, in-person demos was definitely the norm. After covid, that seems to switch more to a teams meeting, but it's still awesome to see most of you in person. I love talking to other Controls Engineers about how integration works with robotics and how to make that easier for your production floor. Message me if you want to see one of our DEMO gurneys in person or over teams meeting. Our current lineup by popularity.
