The #ClimateCrisis has lasting impacts on the health and well-being of young people. In BMJ Global Health, Jessie Pinchoff from American Institutes for Research, Women Deliver’s Eleanor Blomstrom, and Karen Austrian from our GIRL Center explore how young people perceive #ClimateChange affecting their physical and mental health. In their study, young people from Bangladesh, Guatemala and Nigeria commonly reported an increased risk of communicable diseases spreading, a greater risk of gender-based violence, and feeling increased anxiety about economic and food security Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eSpA8Zws

WD2026 is not JUST a conference. It’s a transformative space to redefine international norms. In the face of the climate crisis, threats to health and #BodilyAutonomy, and rising inequalities, #WD2026 will advance bold collective action rooted in feminist and anticolonial values. 👉 More: https://bit.ly/WD-2026

What makes #WD2026 unique? 👇 This will be a regional conference embracing a feminist, anticolonial approach, centered on co-leadership and co-creation. Why the Oceanic Pacific Region? 🌏 The Oceanic Pacific Region, home to diverse nations and a rich history of First Nations leadership, is uniquely positioned to drive global gender equality narratives. Feminist movements here have championed intersectional issues like #ClimateJustice, #BodilyAutonomy, and the rights of First Nations communities. The Conference will reflect the lived experiences of Oceanic Pacific communities through extensive consultations with civil society, community-based organizations, and government partners. Women Deliver stands with international organizations to denounce the #GlobalGagRule reintroduced by Trump's administration. This policy prohibits U.S. assistance for critical global challenges to certain organizations if they provide, counsel, refer, or advocate for legal abortion services in their own country, even if these activities are protected by local law. We demand a permanent END to this harmful policy. 🔗 Read our statement: https://lnkd.in/dPFx9D7x

In just one week, Trump’s policies have unleashed a calculated assault on #BodilyAutonomy and reproductive justice. 🚨 Reinstating the #GlobalGagRule 🚨 Freezing foreign aid 🚨 Leaving the World Health Organization As the largest donor of overseas development assistance, U.S. decisions have a ripple effect — compromising sexual and reproductive health programs for millions and emboldening other leaders to adopt harmful policies. Women Deliver stands united with activists worldwide, fighting to protect the health, dignity, and futures of those under attack. We will not stay silent. Global spaces must be transformed, and we need more women leading them. 😞 Too often, decisions that affect girls and women are made by those who are disconnected from their experiences and struggles. On this #WomeninMultilateralism Day, we advocate for a shift in power. It’s time to change who’s in the room, whose voices are heard, and how decisions are made. 🔗 Here’s how we envision this change: https://lnkd.in/eBsSUeq4

Holding #WD2026 in the Pacific region is crucial. “It's a region that doesn't often get a platform, and it's a region that's facing a number of different challenges, particularly the climate crisis. Being able to hear their issues and priorities is incredibly important”, says Maliha Khan (CEO, Women Deliver).
