𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬: 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤! 🎉 After months of work (and a lot of brainstorming 🧠), our new Wix homepage is officially LIVE. As the PMM leading this project with an amazing team of 20+ people, I’m beyond excited to show off what we’ve built. So, why the revamp? We have so many new, cutting-edge features that need to be reflected on our homepage. But instead of just telling you about them, we decided to let the features speak for themselves by actually using them to build wix.com. Based on our learnings, here are some tips to guide you in building your own homepage: • 𝐍𝐨 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐟𝐟, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞. Any content that doesn't provide value to your visitors is just taking up space. • 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. I would even recommend hopping on calls with some of your users. It makes all the difference when you really get who you're talking to. • 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬. Content and design should work hand-in-hand. Your visuals should help tell a story and showcase your product offering. • 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. Your page should be intuitive and easy to navigate. No one likes feeling frustrated or lost on a page! • 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. If you're aiming to convert visitors into customers, make sure your CTAs are clear and placed in all the right places. • 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐄𝐎. Follow SEO best practices and make sure you balance brand expression with SEO optimization. Trust me, this was one of our biggest challenges. I could keep going, but these are my top tips for building a homepage that really delivers.
