Automated Coating Solution for FPSO | Coating 30,000 sqm with Minimal Overspray In collaboration with Denholm Industrial Services, Qlayers completed the first simultaneous deployment of two 10Q robotic coating systems. The robots coated 30,000 sqm of holding primer as part of a larger 72,000+ sqm blasting and coating project on an FPSO asset, achieving the work with virtually no overspray. This Converse boot was carved from a solid block of polystyrene using an industrial robot, with roughing, tool changes, and fine machining completed automatically. A process that typically takes days by hand can now be completed in hours with consistent accuracy and repeatable results. This approach allows sculptors and makers to focus on creative finishing rather than manual foam removal and lengthy overnight work. 🎥 Video production and application by Artem SFX, a UK-based special effects and fabrication company. Manufacturing productivity has stalled as traditional automation reaches its limits in terms of flexibility. Shorter product cycles, SKU proliferation, and high-mix, low-volume orders reveal the weaknesses of fixed tooling and blind robots. This report explores how vision-driven, multi-arm robotics transform the factory into a reconfigurable product—able to switch tasks with a software update, rather than a hardware rebuild. By giving robots sight and adaptive intelligence, companies like CynLr are enabling order-size-one production, faster changeovers, and truly universal factories. Motor-control development is one of those engineering tasks where 80% of the time goes into tuning rather than core logic. What makes the NXP Semiconductors motor-control kit stand out is how quickly it lets you establish a stable control loop with fewer unknowns. By integrating the S32K MCU, inverter stage, and pre-configured software blocks, it cuts down the typical “why is my motor oscillating?” phase dramatically. For engineers working in EVs, robotics, or industrial systems, the advantage isn’t just speed; it’s about getting a trustworthy baseline early. From there, refinement becomes a focused engineering effort instead of a firefight of debugging. Pre-built FOC blocks and model-based workflows help you skip straight to optimization, which is where real innovation usually happens. Brightpick AI robots now support fully automated warehouse operations, including unattended night shifts. With recent software and AI updates, the Autopicker system can autonomously manage picking, buffering, and sortation so orders are prepared for packing at the start of the next shift. This capability allows facilities to extend operating hours without additional on-site labor, improving throughput and order processing times. Several customers, including The Feed, are already using the system for overnight operations and reporting improvements in efficiency and service levels.
