WATG is proud to be a part of the team behind a new villa at Mitsis Rodos Maris Resort one of the distinguished five-star resorts of Mitsis Group portfolio on the island of Rhodes. Having delivered the landscape design, our focus was to move away from dense planting, embracing a minimalist, locally inspired, xeriscape palette. The result celebrates simplicity, while also reducing irrigation needs for a more sustainable approach. Working in close collaboration with the client, and local architectural firm, Elastic Architects, the debut villa strikes a balance between connection and calm. On one side of the main pool, an active zone brings people together; with an open kitchen, dining area, and fire pit designed for shared moments. On the other side, tranquillity is key, with loungers, an outdoor shower, and a secluded ‘secret garden’, all framing uninterrupted views of the sea and beyond. At the height of luxury, the master bedroom features its own private Cenote plunge pool. Every detail was considered with the guest experience in mind, including a discreet side pathway at the side of the villas, which allows chefs and gardeners to access the villa without interruption. This villa marks the beginning of a new chapter for Mitsis Rodos Maris, with the aim of more being rolled out in the future. #Mitsis #Greece #Resort #Landscape #LandscapeDesign #VillaDesign #Rhodes #Luxury #LuxuryResort

Measuring Carbon in Design: Architects and designers are beginning to measure impact in carbon, not only through the energy a building consumes, but through the materials that construct it. True responsibility lies in understanding both operational and embodied emissions and reducing their collective impact. Eighty years ago, we set out on a journey to reimagine the way the world experiences hospitality spaces. What began in Honolulu has grown into a global design powerhouse, crafting projects across six continents and creating memories along the way. Now, as we celebrate our 80th anniversary, it’s time to reflect on where we’ve been, what we’ve learned, and where our pencils and passports will take us next. Wimberly Interiors Fall Hospitality Interior Design Trends 2025 Fall is a moment to embrace depth, warmth, and storytelling through design. In hospitality, this translates into spaces that feel restorative yet expressive - places where guests can linger, connect, and feel at home. “For fall, deep tobacco browns have caught my attention. They are bold and dramatic without tipping into overly dark. I am still a believer in color drenching, painting the entire room, walls, ceiling, and trim in one hue to create an enveloping atmosphere. I am also leaning into moss and bottle greens, hues that feel soothing, and very much of the season and beyond.” — Margaret McMahon, Global Practice Principal, Wimberly Interiors See the trends here - https://hubs.ly/Q03LyDkZ0 Joon Kim Vanessa Redman #HospitalityDesign #HospitalityInteriors #InteriorDesignTrends #FallDesign2025 #LuxuryHospitality #GuestExperience #WimberlyInteriors #GlobalHospitality

Tourism is one of the world’s most powerful forces for progress, supporting nearly 10% of global GDP and more than 300 million jobs worldwide. World Tourism Day 2025 highlights that the future of the industry depends on regeneration, socially, environmentally, and economically. Hotels and destinations have the ability to be more than places of escape, serving as anchors of local ecosystems, creating employment, nurturing culture, and protecting the natural environment. At WATG and Wimberly Interiors we believe thoughtful design makes this vision real, shaping destinations that not only welcome guests but also give back to communities and the planet.
