Thanks to the generous support from BASF, USC JEP’s Young Scientists Program is bringing hands-on STEM education to underserved youth across Los Angeles! BASF's funding provided science supplies for 360 students, complete with BASF-branded lab aprons, goggles, and backpacks. Through partnerships with 20 schools, including 7 focused on STEM initiatives, JEP is inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers, fostering curiosity and innovation in students of color. From slime-making in Playful Polymers with 1st graders to exploring density in Sink or Float? with 5th graders, and even creating lemon-powered batteries in Energy Loves Produce with 4th graders, BASF-supported STEM TA's Carly Hamel, Mia Moore, and June Bae delivered engaging lessons at Vermont Ave Elementary, Foshay Learning Center, Norwood Street Elementary, and Mack Elementary. These hands-on experiments bring science to life, building confidence and excitement for STEM among young learners. Thank you, BASF, for investing in these bright futures! 🌱⚗️✨ #YoungScientists #STEMEducation #BASF #USCJEP #FutureInnovators #HandsOnLearning USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences USC Joint Educational Project
