Protecting a child is protecting the future. Through the establishment of six Child-Friendly Spaces in the South-East, UNICEF, in collaboration with IBESR and Plan International has reached over 11,000 people with awareness sessions on child rights and protection from violence. These spaces also provide psychosocial support and a safe place for children displaced by the crisis. Thanks to ECHO for its continued support to the most vulnerable children. #ForEveryChild 💙

As part of the celebration of the International Day of the Girl #IDG25, UNICEF, in collaboration with UN Women and #IBESR, organized a workshop on leadership, self-esteem, and girls’ empowerment. Through dialogue and activities, the participants learned to see themselves differently, as the heroines of their own stories. Despite challenges, inequalities, and violence, they continue to dream, learn, and strive for a better future. #IDG2025 #GirlsGoals

To better understand the humanitarian situation in Haiti, Sida conducted a field visit to the Centre and North-East regions, including stops at the MFK warehouse, Justinien Hospital, and several child reception centers. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the urgent needs of affected children and families, and to highlight the joint humanitarian response led by UNICEF and partners with Sida’s support. #foreverchild 🩵
