In Haiti, the fight against polio continues despite numerous challenges. In several regions of the country, health workers like Salomise Celestin brave difficult roads, insecurity and a lack of resources to reach every child. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, more than 112,000 children have already received their polio vaccine thanks to the collaboration of the Ministry of Public Health and Population #MSPP and the support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Development Canada and the Government of Japan. #ForEveryChild 🩵

"Today we need inspiration, we need a positive example. So each one of you has the mission to inspire others" Our Regional Director of UNICEF for Latin America and the Caribbean, Roberto Benes, held a reunion alongside colleagues from Haiti Country Office, with U-Reporters in Port-Au-Prince where he had the chance to meet with an inspiring group that´s working towards a better future driving social change through their advocacy on education, health, protection and resilience. The future we aspire to depends on how we value young people leadership, amplify their voices, and truly listen to what they have to say. #ForeveryChild 🩵

Between September and October 2025, the number of suspected cholera cases increased by 188%. Faced with this increase in several localities in the metropolitan area, UNICEF, with the support of its partners, is stepping up its prevention and awareness-raising efforts. More than 6,660 people have been trained on the importance of hand washing and waste management, and approximately 2,015 families living in displacement sites and at-risk areas have already received their cholera kits. Together, by following hygiene measures, we can protect ourselves against cholera. Sida EU_ECHO UNICEF Spain #ForEveryChild💙
