🌟 What does leadership look like when it’s born from lived experience? Saturday, we hosted a vibrant reflection session with Malala Wilson the #Adolescent Girls Advisory Board Member following her participation in the Girls’ Vision for the Future Regional Summit in #Dakar— Her presence at the Regional Summit and the gathering was more than symbolic—it was transformational. 💬 Malala shared her journey, her insights, and her fire. She encouraged the girls to: 🌱 Believe in their power and potential 🔥 Keep inspiring and mobilizing others 💪 Challenge themselves and their peers 🗣️ Tell their own stories—because the best stories of girls are told by girls themselves Together, we explored key themes to shape the girls’ advocacy agenda for the upcoming National Girls’ Forum, and imagined what leadership looks like after AGAB—how each girl can continue to lead change in her community. 🚀 This is not just a summit. It’s a launchpad. 📣 To every woman, ally, and changemaker: now is the time to stand with girls. Support their voices. Amplify their leadership. Help build the future they envision. #GirlsVisionForTheFuture #AGAB #MalalaWilson #UNICEF #GirlsLeadership #YouthAdvocacy #SouthwestCameroon #LinkedInForChange #MondayMotivation #NationalGirlsForum UNICEF Cameroon UNICEF

  • 🌟 What if this week, you became the turning point in a young girl's life? I’m COTA Gisèle, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been deeply concerned about the realities faced by women and girls in environments that often limit their potential. Long before any formal initiative, I found myself listening, guiding, and encouraging the young girls around me—informally, but wholeheartedly. In July 2025, I was honoured to be selected as a mentor for the MA COTA program—an initiative launched by the government and UNICEF Cameroon dedicated to helping girls find their voice, their path, and their power as future women leaders. 💬 As a mentor: I supported my mentee in discovering her strengths and embracing her vulnerabilities. I helped her overcome fears, build confidence, and believe in her potential. Academically, I guided her through her thesis, enhanced her CV, and assisted her in selecting professional training that aligned with her ambitions. Volunteering as a mentor has been an advantageous experience. I witnessed a young girl blossom, grow, and rise. Each milestone she reached filled me with pride and joy. This bond of trust and transmission reminded me of how powerful mentorship can be as a tool for transformation. ✨ The MA COTA program allows us, as women, to reconnect with our stories and put our experiences to work for the next generation. It creates a space where every girl can dream big, build strong, and rise tall. 💥 This Monday, I invite you to take action. 👉 Become a role model, a guide, a source of strength for a girl who simply needs someone to believe in her. Because every dream deserves a woman who believes in it. #MentorshipMatters #MACOTA #WomenEmpoweringGirls #Leadership #MondayMotivation #BeTheChange

  • 🌟 My name is Constance Bilong, 21 years old, currently a senior student in Terminale C at Lycée Général Leclerc. On October 28th, I had the honor of speaking at a Thematic Café on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), organized by Ministry of Woment empowerment and Family in collaboration with international partners at Hôtel Djeuga Palace in Yaoundé. 🎤 For the first time, I wasn’t just a participant—I was a speaker. I shared my personal story, voiced my ideas, and proposed concrete recommendations to strengthen the fight against GBV. Despite the nerves of speaking in front of distinguished guests—Madam Minister of Women and the Family, the United Nations Resident Coordinator, and representatives of UN agencies—I found the courage to speak. And in doing so, I experienced both fear and liberation. 💡 My key recommendations included: Raising awareness about the impact of GBV Engaging men and boys through positive masculinity Providing psychological, medical, and legal support to survivors Promoting initiatives like: The “Ma COTA” mentorship program Advisory girl networks such as AGAB Girls Movement campaigns Public speaking training for girls to build confidence and resilience 🙏 I owe this milestone to my mentor, Ma COTA Lisette, whose unwavering support and guidance helped me discover a stronger version of myself. Her legacy lives in me, and I will strive to pass on the light and wisdom she shared. Together, let’s keep pushing forward in the fight against GBV. #GenderEquality #StopGBV #YouthVoices #GirlsMovement #Mentorship #Leadership #UNV #MINPROFF #Empowerment #LinkedInYouth #MaCOTA #AGAB
