Yesterday the location for the House of Games was announced which will also become the new home for our studio in 2026. We are excited to be part of this special project which will see players from the games industry working closely together, sharing expertise and giving games a prominent public appearance. Benedikt Grindel, Zone Managing Director at Ubisoft: "The House of Games Berlin is a pioneering project for the German gaming industry. As a large, international company, diversity is important to Ubisoft. We need an ecosystem comprising large, medium-sized and small companies, and a genuine digital games development culture. Regular informal exchanges, shared infrastructure and interaction between the gaming industry, educational institutions, scientific organisations, associations, youth protection services and other providers will make the House of Games Berlin a vibrant place. This will be a game changer for Berlin and Germany, and an important building block for catching up with major international centres of game development in the future."

It’s a wrap! The first year of our Ubisoft Lecture Series is ending and it was a huge success. 📚️ 🖥️ In April 2024 we started to establish our very own Lecture Series on Twitch: Freely accessible educational lectures on various game development topics, each ending with an interactive Q&A session with the chat. Throughout the year we did lectures on the topics of Working in AAA, Game Production, Gameplay Programming, Procedural Generation of Game Worlds and UI Design and answered a lot of questions. The numbers of talents we reached are quite impressive: Next to round about 700-800 live views for each stream, our VODs have an accumulated view-count of around 30.000! 🎉 🙌 Therefore, we are more than happy to upload the VODs of our Lecture Series on YouTube as well, to reach even more talents and upcoming game developers. You can find the streams in this playlist: https://lnkd.in/ejrSU9rg We thank everyone who watched our streams and participated in the Q&A, wish you a great rest of the year and: learn well! 🖊️

Mentoring Day for neoludic games UG and their Newcomer Award winning game Tiny Bookshop! On Monday, our Ubisoft Düsseldorf studio was visited by neoludic games, the team behind the winning game of last years Newcomer Award: Tiny Bookshop. Part of their win was an individually tailored mentoring and we were delighted to support the team with our expertise in Project Management, Marketing, User Experience, Accessibility and Animation. This day – packed with a whole lot of information, feedback and coffee – was a huge success and we hope the many pages of notes the team takes home with them will help polish their outstanding game even further. 🖥🖱📚 Exchanging with other development studios, especially youngsters and Indies is always a great opportunity also for our team members to network with other industry players and brings some fresh wind into our meeting rooms. We are already looking forward to the final release of Tiny Bookshop – as mentors and fans – and to engaging in our own little journey with our beloved trailer full of books. ✨🙌
