"If Not Me, Then Who..."

About us

Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations. In 2007, 1st Lt Travis Manion (USMC) was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Today, Travis' legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, "If Not Me, Then Who..." Guided by this mantra, veterans and survivors continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities, and thrive in their post-military lives. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation's heroes live on in the next generation.

Updates

  • Today, we remember Corporal Steven DeVoe, USMC, who we lost 40 years ago at just 21. A rockstar drummer, adventurer, and larger-than-life presence, Steven left a mark on everyone around him. His sister, Samantha, remembers, “He always showed love to me, his family, and his fiancée. He gave it everything he had and excelled throughout his journey.” Through Travis Manion Foundation, Samantha has found a path to healing and purpose. She’s participated in TMF Expeditions and now serves as a trained Expedition Mentor—carrying Steven’s spirit forward, inspiring change, and reminding us to live with courage.

  • Families of the fallen came together in Tucson, AZ, for a 5-day Expedition with TMF that blended service, leadership, and healing. Together, they spent time connecting, reflecting, and honoring their fallen heroes by serving alongside the Boulder Crest Foundation—an organization dedicated to helping others find peace and purpose after trauma. Through early mornings, hard work, and quiet moments of reflection, participants discovered strength in one another and renewed meaning in their continued journey of service. ❤️ #IfNotMeThenWho
