In the near future, Scania’s autonomous trucks with cutting-edge AI-based technology are going to change how the world moves. With precision only autonomous solutions can achieve, a groundbreaking challenge was successfully completed – redefining the boundaries of self-driving vehicle technology and athletic achievement. The challenge involved two Scania autonomous trucks moving towards each other in perfect sync to create a window of less than a second for a professional mountain biker to jump through the opening in between them. It culminated in a world-first, as Red Bull athlete Matt Jones successfully jumped between the two self-driving vehicles. This feat brought together the creativity, engineering excellence and determination of the teams from Scania, our technology partner Plus and Red Bull to turn an ‘impossible’ vision into a reality. It was meticulously planned and executed, with advanced software development, practice sessions and safety checks taking place over several months. Now we are celebrating a fantastic achievement, which truly shows the incredible capabilities of autonomous technology to bring new levels of safety and precision to the transport industry. Watch the challenge and learn more about how Scania’s trucks enabled it via the link in the comments.

  • After two intensive weeks at #COP30 in Belém, we at the #TRATONGROUP return with a clearer understanding of both the possibilities and the gaps that remain in accelerating the #decarbonization of heavy-duty transport. The outcome of COP30 was a reminder that while global ambition is uneven, coordinated action between governments, industry, and civil society is still essential. And still achievable. 🌍 Throughout the discussions, there was measured but real movement toward identifying practical pathways for reducing fossil-fuel dependence and expanding #ZeroEmission freight solutions. Our contribution focused on demonstrating what can already be done today. Together with our brands, we presented the e-Dutra Green Corridor, a functioning example of public–private collaboration enabling zero-emission freight between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. ⚡ We also joined Scania Group and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus in calling for all countries to establish national roadmaps for decarbonizing heavy-duty transport. Clear direction, stable policy frameworks, and coordinated infrastructure planning remain prerequisites for a credible transition. The constructive response to this proposal showed that our sector has both a responsibility and a role in shaping these frameworks. 🤝 COP30 ultimately underscored a simple truth: heavy-duty transport is a major emitter, but also one of the sectors where meaningful reductions can come quickly, if the right conditions are in place. Our task now is to stay focused, keep building the partnerships that matter, and push the transition forward step by step. 🔋 #TransformingTransportationTogether #SustainableTransport
