IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Last month at the 2025 Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Patrick Pema (Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine / Hackensack Meridian Health) presented, "Volumetric Evaluation of Synaptive Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Stereotactic Radiosurgical Planning." Here's the summarized presentation, be sure to check it out. Summary: In this study, Pema used contrast-enhanced imaging on the Synaptive 0.5T MR system to define treatment volumes for brain tumors compared to their existing 1.5T clinical MR system, and found no statistically significant difference between the treatment volumes defined at 0.5T compared to 1.5T. Pema concluded that the use of the Synaptive MRI for SRS planning produces clinically acceptable and accurate target delineation. COMPANY NEWS: Synaptive Medical and Centile Bioscience Partner to Advance AI-Enhanced Surgical Planning We are excited to share that today we announced a strategic partnership with Centile Bio, an emerging innovator in AI-powered brain analytics. The collaboration aims to integrate Centile Bio’s advanced neuroimaging intelligence into Synaptive’s Modus Plan™ software, combining best-in-class whole-brain tractography with quantitative brain modeling to enhance surgical planning. The integration is currently under development and intended for research and evaluation purposes only; future clinical use will be subject to applicable regulatory clearances and approvals. Since its launch in 2019, Modus Plan™ has advanced surgical planning by introducing automated whole-brain tractography that accurately maps and segments neural pathways into patient-specific bundles. The planned integration of Centile Bio’s AI technology into Modus Plan™ is expected to streamline manual workflows, increase anatomical precision, and improve diagnostic accuracy, helping clinicians plan procedures more efficiently and with greater confidence. #2025CNS Poster: Synaptive Medical is excited to share that a poster will be presented at the 2025 Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) 75th Annual Meeting, on a recent study by authors, Kimberly Agosto; Daniel Cummins, MD; S Javin Bose; Ziad Rifi, MD; Daniel R. Lefton, MD; J Mocco, MD, MS; and Christopher Kellner, MD (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai), "Free Water-Corrected Corticospinal Tractography Improves Prediction of Functional Outcome After Minimally Invasive Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH) Evacuation." In this study, the Mount Sinai team found that the surgical plan tractography software, with free-water correction, demonstrated correlations with patient outcomes following minimally invasive ICH evacuation. These findings highlight the potential of advanced tractography to enhance prognostic insight and support postoperative care. If you're at #2025CNS this year, be sure to check out the poster and meet the Synaptive team on-site.
