The State Bar’s 2024 Justice Gap Study reveals: -Nearly 75% of Californians experienced a civil legal problem in the past year—up from 55% in 2019 -Most received little or no legal help -Attorney access is shrinking, especially in rural areas -Only 2% of lawyers practice immigration law—despite rising need -Of small businesses whose recent legal needs went unmet, 85% reported significant financial consequences Californians across all income levels are affected, and the legal system is falling short.
