As summer officially winds to a close, we want to highlight the incredible work of our seasonal pool inspectors. During the summer 2024 season, we conducted 316 routine pool inspections at public and semi-public facilities, such as apartment and neighborhood pools. These inspections are done on a routine basis to ensure pool water is safe to swim in. Our inspectors test the water’s pH and chemical disinfectant levels, and they observe if the water is clear enough to see the bottom of the pool. If a pool does not pass inspection, our inspectors provide education and reinspect the pool at a later date. Thank you to our seasonal workers for keeping our community safe and healthy this summer!

One year ago today, the Healthy Living Alliance of the Ozarks launched the "Hey man, you good?" mental health campaign. The goal of "Hey man, you good?" is to help equip men to have open and honest conversations about mental health through awareness, resource sharing and training. In the year since, our community has transformed "Hey man, you good?" into a message of empowerment. Talking about your mental health does not make you weak. It takes incredible strength to share your experiences, and we thank the people in Greene County and beyond who have joined us in this important conversation. Learn more at mentalhealth417.com.
