Spokane County Detention Services has recently updated the sign-on bonus: •The bonus for cook positions jumped from $3,500 to $10,000. •Corrections officers with two or more years of experience will still get $15,000, and entry-level hires will receive $10,000, split across three payments in their first year. Toughest part isn’t getting applications; it’s finding the right people who are ready and qualified to take on the responsibility of supervising inmates in both cook and corrections officer roles.
