Congratulations to our Liaison officer Thomas Hall de Beuvink and his wife Aline Gallasch-Hall de Beuvink 👉 🇳🇱🇵🇹 We are delighted to share with you the joyful news that our Honorary Liaison Officer Thomas Antonius B.G. Hall de Beuvink has been elected in june as the President of the Industry Section of the Geographical Society of Lisbon — one of the Society’s oldest professional sections. 👉🇳🇱🇬🇧🇵🇹 Furthermore we are happy to announce that Thomas has been awarded with the Freedom of the City of London for his international work in economic and cultural diplomacy. Thomas was admitted by the Clerk of the Chamberlain's Court during a ceremony at the London Guildhall in April this year. Aline Gallasch-Hall de Beuvink was also distinguished for her cultural and scientific contributions. 👉🇳🇱🇵🇹 The Royal Geographical Society of Lisbon was founded in 1875 under the patronage of King Luís I, who served as its first Honorary President. The Society was established with the aim of advancing the study and progress of the geographical and related sciences, while promoting the knowledge and socio-economic as well as scientific-technical development of the overseas territories. 👉🇳🇱🇬🇧🇵🇹 The Freedom of the City of London is one of the oldest surviving traditions still in existence, dating back to 1237. The Freedom of the City recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the City of London and its international economical and public connections.
