Building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
About us
Skagit Habitat for Humanity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN 91-1628529. Donations are tax-deductible. In 1994 local citizens formed Skagit Habitat for Humanity as the result of a critical need for affordable housing in Skagit County. In 2015 Skagit Habitat celebrated as the first Habitat family made the last payment on their mortgage, thereby owning their Habitat home in full. As of March 2021, 39 Habitat homes have been built in Skagit County and the ground has been broken on our 40th home. Skagit Habitat has served over 80 families and 272 residents. We believe in empowering people to empower themselves through our mission: Putting God’s love into action, Skagit Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, community, and hope. With our help, Habitat Homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Thanks to supporters like you, they now have a stable, affordable home in the community they love. We’re so close to finishing the final four homes in Anacortes, but we need your help to cross the finish line. EVERY gift made by Oct. 31 will be matched up to $15,000 by a generous donor. In Washington, 1 in 7 households spend over half of their income on rent. That means tough choices between food, healthcare, and education just to keep a roof over their heads. At Skagit Habitat, we’re working towards a solution. We partner with local families to build and buy homes they can truly afford, right here in Skagit County. Everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home. Learn how you can be part of the solution: https://lnkd.in/grBeyYVW
