Alexander Sixt, Co-CEO of Sixt SE: “In an extremely challenging market with economic headwinds, the SIXT team has once again demonstrated its ability to adapt. Even in this environment, we have been able to grow significantly: our revenue in Q3 was 10% above the prior-year quarter, and around 60% higher than pre-Covid. The utilisation of our fleet is high, the measures taken are effective, and the investments made are paying off. We fought our way back step by step and were able to achieve Q3 earnings at the level of the previous year. We closed Q3 with an EBT of EUR 246 million and a very positive EBT margin of around 20%. I would like to thank our customers for their trust and, above all, our employees for their extraordinary commitment during the peak travel season. We will continue to pursue our strategy in 2025 and will maintain our conservative fleet planning at a tight level with purchasing conditions that are significantly more attractive than in the years of vehicle shortages.”

🌍 International Milestone: SIXT expands into Southern Africa! 🚗🚀   We are thrilled to share that #SIXT continues its #expansion journey, significantly increasing its presence in #SouthernAfrica. Starting from November 1st, 2024, SIXT will be operating in South Africa and Namibia, with Botswana to follow in 2025, through a new franchise partnership with SANI Car Rental.   With a fleet of more than 7,000 vehicles across 32 rental branches, customers can look forward to premium car rental services featuring renowned brands like BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen in key cities and airports including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, and Windhoek.   Rüdiger Proske, Senior Vice President International Franchise at SIXT: "The significant growth of our presence in the southern part of Africa is another milestone for our expansion ambitions at SIXT. SIXT has unveiled a new show car installation at Malpensa Airport Terminal 1 in a spectacular fusion of automotive innovation and Milanese flair. Within the Schengen arrival area this captivating installation celebrates the essence of Milan, the city of fashion and design, and shows cases in a fun way why a premium rental car is the right choice to rent in that fabulous city. Passengers are greeted by an expansive installation featuring the new BMW X1 (that can be rented at SIXT for day trips, longer vacations or business trips) as its centerpiece, further enhanced by an impactful lightbox, illuminating the surrounding space, whether they are visiting the city for business or leisure.
