Hard to believe it's been a month since this fabulous Heart of the Horse event at the farm! Our annual fundraiser brings longtime supporters, new friends and guests, and passionate volunteers...all supporting the horses at SAFE. We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and people-focused leader to step into the Volunteer Manager role at SAFE. This position is central to the success of our daily operations—coordinating and supporting the volunteers who care for our horses and keep things running smoothly. The Volunteer Manager oversees volunteer scheduling, onboarding, training, and engagement, while working closely with staff and shift leads to ensure a safe and positive experience for all. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are a must—and while horse experience is a bonus, it’s not required. We have big shoes to fill, and we’re hoping to find someone equally passionate about building community and making a difference. We feel incredibly lucky to have welcomed #Deloitte back for the second time as a participant in their annual #ImpactDay on June 6th. Over the course of 6 hours, 19 participants worked on projects ranging from sanding and staining benches, washing or painting fences, washing the SAFE truck, pruning trees, cutting down most of the weeds overtaking our retention pond, significant amounts of blackberry removal and weed whacking, pressure washing, cleaning barn gutters, and more! These folks came ready to work and were such a blast to work alongside with their positive, can-do attitudes. We are so thankful to the Deloitte volunteers for making an impact that matters on #ImpactDay!
