📢 Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax – are you ready? From April 2026, MTD for Income Tax becomes mandatory for many self-employed individuals and landlords. This represents one of the biggest shifts in personal tax compliance for years – and preparation is key. 👉 You will need to follow the MTD rules if: You are self-employed with annual business turnover above £50,000 You are a landlord with gross rental income above £50,000 Or your combined income from both exceeds £50,000 (Please note: the threshold is due to reduce to £30,000 in the future, but from April 2026 the £50,000 figure applies.)
