A delivery robot, but on steroids! 💉 That's the robot from RIVR, a physical AI delivery robot for difficult (for robots) environment. In Leeds, their prototype navigates steep steps, dodges wheelie bins, and weaves around plant pots, all while carrying deliveries. RIVR’s hybrid “wheeled-legged” design and Physical AI allow it to handle steps, curbs, gates, and dense urban obstacles, not just sidewalks. They’re currently deployed alongside human drivers in trials, such as with Evri in Leeds. Each run becomes a learning opportunity, helping build a data-driven foundation for more adaptable, scalable robots. I'm seeing more and more videos of these robots, and must admit: impressive given the environments packed with obstacles and almost zero predicitibility.
