🔥 Thrilled to share our latest character animation project created at BRIGHTLINEviz a fast-paced Ninja cinematic brought to life through a fully collaborative production pipeline. This sequence was a fantastic opportunity for our team to merge character design, fashion design, modeling, texturing, animation testing, and real-time rendering into one polished mini-project. 🎨 Team BRIGHTLINEviz 👗 Roya Aalinezhad – Fashion Designer / Marvelous Designer Artist Designed the full ninja outfit using Marvelous Designer, focusing on garment realism, fabric behavior, functional costume silhouette, and overall aesthetic. I shaped the wardrobe to enhance the character’s agility and cinematic movement. 🛠️ Sepid Aalinezhad – Character Modeler & Material/Texture Artist Created both high-poly and low-poly versions of the character, crafted all materials and textures, and prepared the model for animation and real-time rendering. 🎬 Anthony Labrecque Labrecque – Animation Testing & Retargeting (iClone) Tested motion data, combined sequences, and retargeted animations in iClone, helping refine the flow and timing of the final action shots. 🧩 Gustavo A. Bertrán – Pipeline & Project Lead Oversaw the workflow, asset integration, and overall assembly of the final cinematic. 🛠️ Software Used • Marvelous Designer – Costume creation & cloth simulation • Blender – Modeling, lookdev, prep • Unreal Engine – Real-time rendering • iClone – Animation testing & retargeting • DaVinci Resolve – Final grading & editing • Reallusion Tools This project helped us refine our character pipeline, improve cross-software workflows, and get ready for larger-scale cinematic projects. As I continue developing my upcoming full-CGI series, one of my main goals is to automate key production processes to handle complex action scenes with greater efficiency and precision. This week I focused on building an automated system in Unreal Engine that synchronizes tracers, impacts, decals, and FX for gunfire sequences—triggered frame-accurately and fully procedural. This allows me to solve high-intensity shots quickly, consistently, and without manual placement, streamlining the entire cinematic workflow. Pushing the pipeline forward, one system at a time.
