  • We’re proud to celebrate our founder and CEO, Anna Palmer, for once again being named to Washingtonian Magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Washington list. This list honors the most influential women in Washington who are shaping the future of government, business, media, law, education, the arts and the nonprofit sector. Anna’s vision and leadership in building Washington’s go-to news organization for Capitol Hill coverage continue to set the standard for political journalism — and we’re thrilled to see her recognized among this year’s honorees. • Over the weekend, we raised a glass to this year's Black Women's Congressional Alliance Honorees — Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (D-Calif); Wyndee Parker, Donni Turner, Layla A. Brooks, MPA and Shelby Talton — at the organization's annual brunch to celebrate the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference. We partnered with BWCA again this year to highlight Black women's leadership in politics. This year, we raised a glass with Keenan Austin Reed, Michael Reed, Kris Lofton, Isaac Keys of Power Book IV: Force on STARZ, and Reps. LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.), Emilia Sykes (D-Ohio) and Janelle Bynum (D-Ore.). Congratulations again to this year's honorees!

  • Punchbowl News returned to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's Annual Legislative Conference Week in partnership with Chime to uplift conversations centered around the theme of financial progress. Our main stage included a one-on-one interview with Maryland Gov. Wes Moore . Afterward, Shara Chang, chief compliance officer of Chime, joined Punchbowl News Founder and CEO Anna Palmer on stage for a fireside chat. Punchbowl News Special Projects Editor Elvina Nawaguna moderated an industry panel conversation with Jennifer Tescher, CEO of the Financial Health Network, and Delicia Reynolds Hand, senior director of digital marketplace for Consumer Reports. Later in the day, D.V. Williams of Match Group joined the main stage for a community conversation. We also convened a roundtable with Punchbowl News Ambassadors Tasha Cole, Shawn Townsend and Nicole Varner J.D. A huge thank you to our partnering organization, Chime, featured speakers and Punchbowl News community members for helping us to commemorate another CBCF ALC Week.
