  • 🔄 The Prosecutor Vetting Commission has established four new evaluation panels, increasing the total number of panels responsible for assessing the ethical and financial integrity of prosecutors from 2️⃣ to 6️⃣. This reorganization of the Commission’s work, aimed at ensuring a more balanced distribution of evaluation files, follows amendments to Law No. 252/2023  📜, approved by Parliament on 10 July, which increased the number of Commission members from six to nine. 👥 Each evaluation panel consists of three members, and each panel ensures a mix of both national and international members 🌍, a gender balance, and a mix of established and newly appointed members of the Commission. 👉 Panel F is an exception, consisting solely of newly appointed members, who will review the files of prosecutors who previously failed the external evaluation conducted under Law No. 26/2022. The Commission considers that assigning these files to a panel composed exclusively of new members will help to ensure the objectivity of the procedure. 💡 Initial Evaluation Panels: 1.     Panel A: Christopher Lehmann, Nadejda Hriptievschi, Saskia de Vries 2.     Panel B: Virginia Moraru, Irmantas Mikelionis, Cornel Lebedinschi 🆕 Newly Formed Evaluation Panels: 3.     Panel C: Nadejda Hriptievschi, Irmantas Mikelionis, Pierangelo Padova 4.     Panel D: Christopher Lehmann, Saskia de Vries, Ion Graur 5.     Panel E: Virginia Moraru, Cornel Lebedinschi, Laura Stefan, PhD, LLM 6.     Panel F: Ion Graur, Laura Ștefan, Pierangelo Padova
