What is the main focus for the aerospace industry currently? Royal Aeronautical Society and digital manufacturing specialists, Protolabs, conducted a survey to answer this question. Here are some of the results: Since 2024 and continuing into 2025, sustainability is the leading focus, while recruiting more skilled personnel holds second place, and ‘scaling up defence’ jumped into third place due to heightened international relations and conflicts. The survey showed that supply chain issues are lower on the list for the first time in a few years, indicating the worst of those struggles may be in the past for the industry.
