🛡️ Συμβουλές για Ενίσχυση της Ψηφιακής Ασφάλειας κατά τη διάρκεια των ηλεκτρονικών αγορών της Black Friday και Cyber Monday Το Γραφείο Επιτρόπου Επικοινωνιών - Αρχή Ψηφιακής Ασφάλειας υπενθυμίζει στους πολίτες ότι η περίοδος των μεγάλων διαδικτυακών εκπτώσεων, όπως η Black Friday και η Cyber Monday, αποτελεί αγαπημένο πεδίο δράσης για κυβερνοεγκληματίες που επιχειρούν να εκμεταλλευτούν την αυξημένη καταναλωτική δραστηριότητα. Για την προστασία των προσωπικών και οικονομικών σας δεδομένων, συνιστούμε να ακολουθήσετε τις πιο κάτω βέλτιστες πρακτικές κυβερνοασφάλειας: 🔒 1. Αγοράστε μόνο από αξιόπιστες και επαληθευμένες ιστοσελίδες Βεβαιωθείτε ότι η ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση ξεκινά με https:// και ότι εμφανίζεται το εικονίδιο λουκέτου στη γραμμή διεύθυνσης του φυλλομετρητή (browser). Αποφύγετε αγορές μέσω συνδέσμων σε διαφημίσεις ή μηνύματα που δεν προέρχονται από επίσημες πηγές. ⚠️ 2. Προσοχή σε ύποπτες προσφορές και ψεύτικες ιστοσελίδες Ελέγξτε προσεκτικά το όνομα του καταστήματος και τη διεύθυνση URL. Προσφορές που φαίνονται υπερβολικά ελκυστικές συχνά αποτελούν παγίδες phishing ή απάτες. 🧾 3. Μην αποθηκεύετε στοιχεία πληρωμής Αποφύγετε να αποθηκεύετε αριθμούς καρτών σε ηλεκτρονικούς λογαριασμούς. Εάν είναι εφικτό, χρησιμοποιήστε προπληρωμένες ή εικονικές κάρτες (virtual cards) για πρόσθετη ασφάλεια. 📧 4. Ελέγχετε πάντα τα email και μην πατάτε σε ύποπτους συνδέσμους Οι επιτήδειοι αποστέλλουν μηνύματα που μιμούνται γνωστά καταστήματα. Ελέγξτε προσεκτικά τη διεύθυνση αποστολέα και μην ανοίγετε επισυναπτόμενα αρχεία ή συνδέσμους αν δεν είστε βέβαιοι για την προέλευση. 🔑 5. Χρησιμοποιήστε ισχυρούς κωδικούς και ενεργοποιήστε πολυπαραγοντικό έλεγχο (2FA) Δημιουργήστε μοναδικούς και ισχυρούς κωδικούς πρόσβασης για κάθε λογαριασμό και ενεργοποιήστε τον διπλό έλεγχο ταυτότητας, όπου είναι διαθέσιμος. 📱 6. Αποφύγετε αγορές μέσω δημόσιων Wi-Fi Χρησιμοποιήστε ασφαλείς συνδέσεις (mobile data ή VPN) όταν πραγματοποιείτε ηλεκτρονικές συναλλαγές. 💳 7. Mr. Petros Galides, Deputy Commissioner of Communications, participated on 5 November 2025 as a panelist in the session “AI and Cybersecurity” at the Cyprus AI Conference, co-organised by the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts and the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence. During the panel discussion, Mr. Galides emphasized that the European Union is shaping “a comprehensive digital regulatory framework not only built on technology, but anchored in trust, rights, and resilience.” He noted that through initiatives such as the AI Act, NIS2 Directive, Cyber Resilience Act, and the Digital Services and Markets Acts, “Europe is establishing the foundation for a fair, secure, and competitive digital future.” Referring to Cyprus’ leadership role, he highlighted the National AI Governance Framework, adopted earlier in 2025, which designates the Office of the Commissioner of Communications as the Notifying Authority, Market Surveillance Authority, and Single Point of Contact for AI compliance. This structure, he explained, “ensures consistency in oversight, safety, and accountability across all stages — from design to deployment.” Mr. Galides also underlined the interdependence of the two domains, stating that “AI and cybersecurity shape each other — trustworthy AI emerges through secure design, and security is strengthened by intelligent systems.” He added that “when these fields evolve in isolation, we risk gaps or duplication; but when they converge, we create synergy — the kind of integration that builds both technological robustness and public trust.” Highlighting the importance of continuous collaboration, he referred to the ICT Academy of the Office of the Commissioner of Communications as “a regional hub for training, cooperation, and digital upskilling,” noting that it hosted around 250 specialized events in 2025 on AI, cybersecurity, and digital governance. “Digital transformation doesn’t stop at institutional boundaries — it depends on shared capacity building, knowledge exchange, and cooperation across regulators, academia, and industry,” he stressed. 📍Εθιμοτυπική Επίσκεψη του Διοικητή της Κεντρικής Τράπεζας στον Επίτροπο Επικοινωνιών Εθιμοτυπική επίσκεψη στα γραφεία του Επιτρόπου Επικοινωνιών πραγματοποίησε ο Διοικητής της Central Bank of Cyprus , κ. Χριστόδουλο Πατσαλίδη, συνοδευόμενος από την κα. Ευγενία Χριστοδούλου, Εκτελεστική Σύμβουλο της ΚΤΚ. Την αντιπροσωπεία υποδέχθηκαν ο Επίτροπος Επικοινωνιών, κ. George Michaelides, και ο Βοηθός Επίτροπος, κ. Petros Galides. Κατά τη συνάντηση, ο κ. Μιχαηλίδης παρουσίασε το έργο και τις στρατηγικές προτεραιότητες του Γραφείου, τόσο στο πλαίσιο των αρμοδιοτήτων του ΓΕΡΗΕΤ όσο και της Αρχής Ψηφιακής Ασφάλειας. Ιδιαίτερη αναφορά έγινε στις ραγδαίες τεχνολογικές εξελίξεις και στις απαιτούμενες προσαρμογές του ρυθμιστικού πλαισίου για την ενίσχυση της ασφάλειας, της ανθεκτικότητας και της καινοτομίας στον ψηφιακό χώρο. Από την πλευρά του, ο κ. Πατσαλίδης παρουσίασε τις δράσεις και προτεραιότητες της Κεντρικής Τράπεζας, εστιάζοντας στους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την οικονομία τόσο σε επίπεδο Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης όσο και στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου. 🛡️ BlueOLEX 2025 exercise tested EU cyber crisis management capabilities   Inspired by a real-life scenario and based on the revision of the #EUCyberBlueprint earlier this year, the annual exercise was hosted in Cyprus this year.   🤝 BlueOLEX aims to assess and enhance cooperation between EU Members States’ competent authorities responsible for cyber crisis management, the European Commission and #ENISA, to ensure that when a large-scale incident occurs, Europe can act as one. 🔎 Insights from the exercise will further contribute to the Cyber Blueprint implementation towards the advancement of a coordinated response to large-scale #cybersecurity incidents and crises.   Find out more 🔗 Office of the Commissioner of Communications #EUCyCLONe
