Heartbroken by the loss of Officer Enrique Martinez, who selflessly served our Chicago community. His bravery and commitment to protecting our neighborhoods will not be forgotten. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and fellow officers who mourn this tragic loss. Gun violence not only devastates lives but deeply impacts our community's spirit and safety. This heartbreaking incident is a reminder of the urgency to come together, address root causes, and build a safer, stronger Chicago for all. Let’s honor Officer Martinez’s legacy by advocating for peace, supporting our first responders, and working to break the cycle of violence. Together, we can and must create change.
