    💐 Our team is growing! 💐 We're hiring for Audiovisual Digitization & Preservation Assistant! 📣 Are you passionate about film, tapes, and reels? California history is captured through home movies, oral histories, performance art, and much more - join our team to save memories of our shared history in partnership with cultural heritage organizations across the state. Position is onsite in Sacramento, with remote work possible. 🔑 Responsibilities: - Assist in digitization, preservation, and metadata coordination - Perform quality assurance and control of digital files - Standardize and upload metadata - Coordinate with partners and vendors - Contribute to public access, curate exhibits and themes - Assist in training interns and outreach efforts 🔒 Compensation: $30-35/hour, depending on skills and experience. 32-40 hrs/week. This position is open until filled and runs through June 30, 2025. Annual independent contract (1099), with subsequent contracts dependent upon available funding.
