  • Becoming… a Team Player. “Hey, my name is Emmelie, and I am a Development Engineer for camera-based driver assistance systems. My primary responsibilities include lane and traffic light recognition. Our vehicle-integrated cameras provide information, which we analyse using AI to identify lanes, objects, signs, and traffic lights. Other components then process these results, such as plotting a trajectory in the recognized lane. Driven by my passion for automated driving, I started my journey with Mercedes-Benz through a dual study programme named IT-Automotive in Stuttgart. After completing my bachelor’s degree in 2022, I transitioned into my current role. The warm welcome and constant support made my start very smooth. I am proud to be part of the company because of the incredible team. We have a great team spirit , support each other, and every day in the office is enjoyable and enriching. One of my career highlights was my first business trip to the USA for testing the driver assistance systems.” #MercedesBenz

  • Even at -20 degrees Celsius and in simulated blizzards, the all-new GLB delivers comfort, flexibility, and a “Welcome home” feeling. Icy cold and heavy snowfall during the final miles. Windscreen wipers and heating running at full blast to keep the view clear for the driver and the passengers warm. Anyone who enjoys skiing or snowboarding will appreciate how extreme these conditions can be. The engineers at Mercedes‑Benz also understand this because they are currently completing intensive cold-weather testing with the all-new GLB at the Mercedes Technology Center (MTC) in Sindelfingen, before its world premiere on 8 December 2025. Whether it’s specified as a spacious five-seater or a versatile seven-seater, this compact SUV is the perfect companion for trips to ski resorts or other wintry adventures. Beyond confident traction on snow-covered roads, what truly matters is supreme thermal comfort and clear visibility. In frosty temperatures between -15 and -20 degrees Celsius, the heating system must demonstrate that it can defrost an icy windscreen quickly. A camera records the entire de-icing process. The all-new GLB also passed these tests impressively. At an outside temperature of -15 degrees Celsius, it takes only 15 minutes for the windscreen to be clear enough to drive off. This occurs solely with the help of the defrost setting in the heating system, without any further intervention from the driver, such as switching on the windscreen wipers.

  • Free miles, anyone? Imagine a Mercedes-Benz that charges itself! We are researching innovative solar modules that could be seamlessly applied to the bodywork of electric vehicles, similar to a wafer-thin paste. With this technology the VISION ICONIC could get up to 12,000 km of free range per year thanks to innovative photovoltaic paint.

  • MB4Rescue brings Mercedes-Benz and European fire services together, enabling firefighters to train on the latest vehicles and optimise rescue operations to save more lives. The aim of this initiative, organised by Mercedes-Benz AG in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of German Fire Protection (vfdb), is to give firefighters the opportunity to practise on new Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This enables faster response times in an emergency and improves operational safety. Through this unique partnership, the teams have now conducted their first joint training session with the fire services personnel. According to an estimate by the World Health Organisation (WHO), around 1.3 million people die in road accidents worldwide every year. As a safety pioneer, Mercedes-Benz follows its mission to significantly reduce this figure. The company’s goal is Vision Zero that aims to eliminate traffic deaths by 2050. Road safety is a key part of Mercedes-Benz’s sustainable business strategy. This year’s focus is on “Rescue after an accident”. For this purpose, Mercedes-Benz has developed the MB4Rescue concept with the vfdb to improve fire-service training. MB4Rescue intensifies the exchange with fire service experts. At the same time, the Mercedes-Benz safety experts benefit from the fire services’ day-to-day rescue experience and their feedback from the post-accident phase.

  • Intelligent, responsible, and uncompromising – this is how we redefine the future of mobility. The all-new electric GLC embodies exactly these principles, retaining everything that made the combustion-powered model a global bestseller whilst pioneering new standards: Every successful element has been enhanced for the electric era – from legendary comfort and capability to uncompromising build quality. Want some examples? Net carbon-neutral* production at our Mercedes-Benz factory in Bremen, Northern Germany, with 100% renewable electricity. Aluminium that has a carbon footprint reduced by at least 40% per kilogram. A further reduced proportion of cobalt in the new lithium-ion battery provides an outstanding WLTP range of over 700 kilometres**. In addition, the all-new GLC embraces groundbreaking material choices: the world's first vegan-certified interior, seat foam with 30% recycled materials, MICROCUT upholstery from 100% post-consumer recyclate and Econyl flooring from fully recycled yarn. It also doubles the recycled thermoplastic content compared to the current GLC. This approach demonstrates how sustainability and innovation unlock new possibilities in responsible manufacturing. Advanced features like our multi-source heat pump and the 300 kW recuperation performance, propel the electric GLC into a new era of automotive excellence. Tomorrow drives Mercedes-Benz. #MercedesBenz [Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4MATIC mit EQ Technologie (Energieverbrauch kombiniert: 14,9-18,9 kWh/100 km | CO₂-Emissionen kombiniert: 0 g/km | CO₂-Klasse: A] *Net carbon-neutral means that carbon emissions that are not avoided or reduced at Mercedes-Benz are compensated for by certified compensation offsetting projects. **The specified values were determined in accordance with the WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure) measurement method. The ranges given refer to ECE markets. The energy consumption and CO₂ emissions of a car depend not only on the efficient utilisation of the fuel or energy source by the car, but also on the driving style and other non-technical factors.
