Last week, the Today Show highlighted how Boston is leading the charge in robotics innovation, spotlighting MassRobotics' RoboBoston 2025, which took place from September 25–27, 2025. The event brought together students, families, tech enthusiasts, and professionals, with over 7,500 attendees at the Robot Parade and Block Party. I was just at the Sustainable Innovation: ASCs + Robotics for Patients, Performance and Planet event organized by Action Innovation Network and Medtronic. I was excited to be able to highlight a number of our Healthcare Catalyst companies, and they work they are doing, during the panel about the impact of technology on healthcare sustainability. It is clear that robots cannot only improve outcomes but reduce costs in automating tasks such as surgical tool sterilization, patient transfer, and hospital logistics. Amazon and NVIDIA are backing eight AI and robotics startups in a Physical AI Fellowship managed by MassRobotics, the Massachusetts-based robotics hub. The eight startups are getting science and engineering support, $200,000 in AWS credits, access to Nvidia’s hardware and software stack, and go-to-market support at major Amazon, Nvidia and MassRobotics events. The focus: physical AI. 🚀 Bedrock Robotics make automonous construction machines 🚀 Blue Water Autonomy Inc. – Robotic ships for the open ocean 🚀 Diligent Robotics – Humanoid(ish) helpers in healthcare 🚀 Generalist AI – teaching robots to learn like humans 🚀 Robco Inc. – Modular robotics for small manufacturers 🚀 Tutor Intelligence – AI-driven warehouse automation 🚀 Wandercraft – powered exoskeletons that move naturally 🚀 Zordi – make autonomous farm robots “Physical AI is really effectively saying how do you use spatial awareness and apply that with intelligence to be able to now have actuation done on physical objects and in physical settings,” Amazon’s Head of Generative AI Innovation and Delivery at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Taimur Rashid. #Connectivity will be the enabler. #itjustworks
