Legal Intern • The Legal Intern will have the opportunity to be engaged in the Identity Document Assistance (IDA) Network Program, capacity building services, and resource development. With this internship geared for an individual in law school interested in advocacy and community programming, the intern will connect with trans and nonbinary people involved in the IDA Network, sharing informational resources, providing assistance in their application/petition process, and reviewing legal forms and documents. Fundraising & Development Intern • The Fundraising and Development Intern will work with the Deputy Director and other MTPC staff members on grant writing and reporting, database management and gift entry, donor stewardship, and other development writing and outreach. Additionally, the Fundraising and Development Intern will assist with the planning and outreach associated with our annual fundraising event, Professionals for Trans Rights. Communications & Marketing Intern • The Communications and Marketing Intern will work with the Deputy Director and other MTPC staff members on social media and website management, graphic and material design, email marketing, database management, and other communications projects and outreach in support of MTPC’s programs, services, and events. Additionally, the Communications and Marketing intern will assist the Deputy Director and Communications Consultant with the development and production of photo and video content.

MTPC is hiring TWO new full-time positions this summer! • Programs Manager: This position is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of programmatic initiatives, support services, functional milestones, and deliverables of MTPC's programs. • Advocacy and Organizing Manager: This position is focused on the development and expanded implementation of MTPC's policy, advocacy, and organizing efforts. Both positions have a starting salary of $62,000 and are expected to start in early September 2024. Candidates must be located in New England and able to travel to Boston regularly. Join us on Wednesday, April 17th from 6-8pm for a Trans Creative Storytelling Workshop with Jesse Freidin. How can we tell trans stories as a method of liberation? What forms of creative expression can we use to free up our joy and collective strength? Participants will be led through a variety of creative exercises for self-empowerment. Whatever their preferred medium (photos, writing, recipes, song, dance, etc.) Participants will find encouragement to speak their truths and feel the relief that comes from using their authentic voices. Everyone will receive guidance in mapping out their personal story as well as feedback from the group and lively participation. Join us for community, and leave with a jumping off point for self expression. As a man of trans experience and archivist of trans narratives through his ‘Are You OK?’ project, Jesse creates a brave and engaging virtual space for participants to think about how and why our trans lives matter. https://lnkd.in/e9_XdySN
